Due to a handful of permanently parked vehicles being stored on Montecito streets, S.C.S. parking enforcement is now tagging and towing vehicles starting Jan 1, 2026.
If you receive an orange parking violation sticker, that is your one warning. The vehicle is now tagged, photographed and digitally documented. You will have 72hrs to move the vehicle off the street. If the same vehicle is seen anytime within a 6 month period on any Montecito street, it will be automatically towed at the owner's expense by Ashley Towing, regardless of obtaining a Southern Highlands parking variance.
If your garage and driveway are both fully occupied with 4 vehicles and you need a 72hr temporary parking pass for a guest, please contact the Montecito board at 702-546-6889

At our Jan 13 2025 HOA meeting, the Montecito Board of Directors voted to approve an entirely new $24,000 gate system, complete with a new high tech video call box. In addition, for the first time in Montecito’s 25 year history, a full security camera system with state of the art AI face recognition, license plate readers and many other high tech options will be installed and will work in conjunction with our new video call box.
The Board also voted to terminate our contract with Community Access Systems (CAS) for our gate maintenance and sign a new maintenance contract with Battle Born Access Systems (https://www.battlebornaccess.com). Battle Born will be the contractor in charge of installing everything and help to ensure that it all runs exactly how it should.
Due to faulty wiring and other failing gate components, Montecito recently had a few different vehicles run into our gates as well as various people manually pushing the gates open, causing a significant amount of damage and errors. Because of this, the entry gates will remain open for the time being to help alleviate any additional issues. In the very near future, these people will be on camera.
The new video call box and security camera system is ordered and set to be installed in a few short weeks. This will finally fix our 25 year old gates and help future proof our community for many years to come.
